A great place for the Nasi Kandar. A wonderful array of curries and sides. We went in the late evening and it wasn't too crowded. I would definitely go back. Not expensive. Only slightly more than average, but still excellent value.

If you want to try out Real Authentic Penang Nasi Kandar, this is the place you shouldn't missed out. As it claimed to be among the oldest nasi kandar in town. I have try out some other Nasi Kandar in town also but the curry, spices they are having is much more compare to the others. What i like mostly at this restaurant is their Lamb Kurma, Tandori Chicken, Giant squid and also you should try their Murtabak also very rich in flavour as they are using Ghee pan fried it. It was also air condition, so no worries for the hot wheather. Sometime need to have long que also. You can park at the road side paid parking or at Jalan Kampung Malabar with a huge Paid parking space behind the shop.

Great dinner at Hameediyah Restaurant! The nasi kandar was super fragrant and packed with flavour. Loved the curries and all the sides. Everything tasted rich and authentic. The manager was really helpful in guiding us on what to order, which made the experience even better. Friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit in Penang. Will come back again!

This is the oldest restaurant in town for nasi kandar laksa — the original, if you will. We had to try it, and we weren’t disappointed. This was our second visit, so we gave it a fair test. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by both the owner and the staff. The space is simple but clean, and we were helped every step of the way. The food was very good. While some places get great reviews and lineups thanks to TikTok and YouTube influencers, this place feels steady — enduring. A true part of George Town and its history. We had a mix of chicken, beef, and goat. The basmati rice was excellent, and that gravy — you can even get some to take home. Highly recommend it.

After three meals here here are some recommendations for first timers. Biryani Ayam(huge portion!), Mutrabah Kambing with cheese, Biryani Kambing(protein portion not as big but it's nearly the same price as the chicken so understandable, the curry is awesome too). Omelette is a must for me (for 3rm). The rice is nice and flavorful and they add a mix of curries on top or on the side depending on how much you order or what time of day (I think when it's busy they'll put it directly on the rice). Beef was good and tender but the sauce is a touch oily. Just heads up when ordering they may ask if you want mutton which is a hefty upcharge as well ask asking if you want turkey if you order Ayam which again is another upcharge. Be firm if you know what you want but the mutton is quite large and very tender. I really don't know what's up with these one star reviews. Yea it costs a little more than your neighborhood spot but this place is an institution! Been here three times and never had an issue with bad service, a line too long, or bad cashiers. Food as always been excellent.
