We visited around 8–9 AM, and while the first impression was "crowded," don't let the queue discourage you! The turnover is incredibly efficient, we only waited about 1-2 minutes for a table. The atmosphere captures that classic "Kedai Kopi" vibe but with a clean, modern touch and plenty of staff on standby to keep tables cleared. The Food: I highly recommend the signature Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. It’s the ultimate comfort food. The rice has a wonderful pandan fragrance, and the fried chicken is tender and rich with spices. My family also tried the Nasi Lemak Sotong, and the squid was prepared quite well, flavourful and not rubbery. The Drink: I tried the Special Cham Tarik (a blend of Teh Tarik and White Coffee) for the first time. It was a unique and delicious experience, definitely a "must-try" if you want something different from the usual! Overall, a great spot for an authentic Malaysian breakfast/lunch. I'll definitely be back.

instagram: splashwww youtube: @splashwww Village Park Restaurant in SS21 lives up to its reputation as a lunchtime hotspot the place is always buzzing, and our visit was no different. The crowd is huge, but the system keeps things surprisingly manageable: you simply walk in, find an empty table, sit down, and order from there. No long outdoor queues or chaos just find a seat and you're good to go.The star of the show is undoubtedly the nasi lemak rice perfectly steamed, fluffy, and richly fragrant with coconut. It’s exactly what you want from a proper plate of nasi lemak. The fried chicken (ayam berempah) pairs beautifully: crisp, sweet-salty coating on the outside, juicy and tender meat inside. It’s easy to see why so many people come here specifically for this combination. The sambal leans noticeably sweet and salty, with visible chunks of onion adding texture. It’s a clear fusion of Chinese and Malay influences, which works for many but might not satisfy those craving a spicier, more savoury traditional sambal. If that’s your preference, this version could feel a bit off-balance.The curry noodle soup was acceptable but nothing memorable standard and forgettable. The coffee tasted like instant or pre-packaged brew, lacking depth or character. Village Park is a reliable, no-frills spot that excels at nasi lemak and fried chicken, especially if you like the sweeter, more Chinese-influenced style. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the self-seating system makes the busy atmosphere manageable. It’s not a place where every dish shines, but for a solid plate of nasi lemak in a lively local setting, it’s definitely worth dropping by just don’t expect fireworks across the entire menu. Solid choice for a quick, satisfying lunch in SS21.

Packed. Noisy. Authentic. Best Nasi Lemak in the city. Of course I am no expert and I ve read their sambal is not to everyone’s taste… well I love it. I never go beyond Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng though. It’s a single dish place for me🫣 sharing a table with total strangers is a special and fun experience. People are well fed and kind though. Couple times we were offered to try and share their food.
