I’ve been wanting to visit Damascus Restaurant for quite some time, but the queue has always been incredibly long. This time, we decided to drop by around 3am and were pleasantly surprised to walk in without any waiting time. The environment is grand and beautifully reflects Syrian culture, creating a warm and authentic dining experience. Service was good overall — the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive despite the late hour. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, making it quite difficult to decide what to order. I especially loved the Shish Taouk rice with skewer — it was aromatic, flavorful, and well-marinated. The Chicken Shawarma was tasty as always, consistently satisfying. The Kabsa chicken with rice was just okay for me personally, but I must say the chicken was tender and juicy. I’ve actually been a loyal customer of their shawarma for over 10 years, dating back to when they operated next to Sungei Wang Plaza. I truly miss those days — it was still crowded, but without the long queues like today. Price-wise, I would say it’s reasonable considering the portion size, quality, and overall dining experience. I would definitely return again to explore more items from their extensive menu.

We tried this highly popular Syrian restaurant over the Chinese new year holiday. Tried their Kabsa rice. It was delicious. The rice was flavourful and chicken soft and juicy. The shawarma plate was good so was the Creamy Chicken shawarma. We also tried their hummus and tabbouleh. The hummus was smooth and delicious but the pita bread that came with it was cold. I enjoyed the tabbouleh. Will come back to try the other offerings.

We ordered shawarma(arabi plate), mix grill(chicken & lamb), cheesy kunafa, chicken kabsa Saudi, Turkish coffee and tea teapot. It was very tasty, I like the mix grill the most, it cm with some pita kinda bread, very soft. For me the Turkish coffee was very strong. Tea was nice. The service is good. Environment and their restaurant deco was pleasant and nice. The area itself a busy place so quite hard to find parking spot but somehow you can find parking at nearby mall or hotels/apartment/office building. Pls Waze parking spot. Price is ok. Overall good food with great ambient. “Just my taste buds talking—yours might gossip differently. Try it yourself!”
